The PL642EU 6-Inch 42W Triple Vertical CFL Housing is a Non-IC rated vertical CFL housing with single wall construction. Features 120V-277V HPF rapid start electronic FCC Class B ballast with end-of-life lamp protection, mounted to the inside of the junction box cover facing the housing for ease on maintenance. The socket comes supplied with a spring to accommodate certain trim installations or can be attached to the top of the housing for certain trims; both applications use one 42W, 32W OR 26W triple tube (4 pin) CFL bulb. Installation of the fully assembled PL642EU housing is made easy with the Real Nail 3 telescoping system featuring bugle-headed nails for easy repositioning of housing in joist construction and integral T-bar clip to secure housing in suspended ceiling grid. Patented breakaway bars for tight joist spacing and curved foot facilitates alignment with joist bottom. Quick-Loc slot and oversized set screw lock fixture in position. Bar hangers may be re-positioned 90 degrees. The PL642EU is supplied with a pre-wired junction box with (5) 1/2-Inch and (1) 3/4-Inch knockouts with pryout slots, (4) non-metallic sheathed cable connectors, and ground wire. UL Listed, C-UL/CSA certified for damp and wet locations and for through-branch wiring, with a maximum of (8) 12-AWG conductors. Wet location listed for covered ceiling applications when using a 220, 239, 241, 242, 243, 271, 2330, 6101or 9900 trim. All trims are sold separately and come in a wide variety of styles and finishes to customize to your needs, including the 28, 29, 232, 233, 261 or 2320 trims.
